This is the final sequel in the Lilo & Stitch franchise and serves as the final to the Lilo & Stitch the series tv show. This is not the last appearance of Stitch, however, as there was both a Japanese anime, Stitch! and a Chinese cartoon, Stitch & Ai which ran from 2008-2011 and 2017, respectively. These shows feature new female protagonists and setting so this film is the last media featuring Lilo and Hawaii. In this movie Lilo, Stitch, Pleakley, and Jumba have completed their mission of finding all 625 other experiments, rehabilitating them, and finding their “one true place” where they belong. Because of this, they are each rewarded with their dream job or item. This means, however, leaving Earth, and Lilo, forever. At first the stay on Earth to make Lilo happy but, after seeing how unhappy they are, Lilo lets them leave. Meanwhile, Dr. Hämsterviel is broken out of prison and visits Jumna in his old laboratory. He then forces Jumba to create an army of evil Stitch clones, whom he names Leroys, which he proceeds to use to take over the galactic council. This event brings the Lilo, Stitch, Pleakley, and Jumba back together and they successfully, with the help of all the other experiments, defeat and imprison Dr Hämsterviel and the Leroys. Through this ordeal, Stitch, Pleakley and Jumba realize their “one true place” is with Lilo on Earth. This is a satisfying ending to both the TV show and the original franchise. Because this film serves as a finale it feels more contained then Stitch! The Movie. It continued the charming trend of having Elvis play a pivotal role as an Elvis song is used as a built-in safety valve that, when played, causes the Leroy clones to shut down. Overall, Leroy & Stitch was a great finale to this wonderful franchise and well worth watching if you are a fan of the TV show or the franchise in general.
Final Rating 7/10
