Introduction

I have started this blog to collect reviews of all of the Disney animated films I have watched. Eventually, I hope to write reviews for animated films from other studios. I started with 55 films but have since expanded to over 150 and counting! I decided to watch them in order of release so that is how this blog will be organized.

I will attempt to give each film a cumulative rating on a scale of 1-10 based on various categories including enjoyment, technical achievement and style, plot, songs, and characters.  One final point is that I include films from blue sky and fox animation studios and Pixar as disney currently owns all of them. I have not included films disney only distributed (most notably Studio Ghibli films) but perhaps in the future, I will.

An additional note: the earliest Disney films are mostly ‘package films’ meaning they are merely collections of shorts, typically previously released in standalone format before being collected as a, barely feature length, film. I have attempted to watch those shorts in the order they appeared in those films as well as in their original format (without alterations that future releases sometimes made).
