This film was so charming and sweet, and it kicked off the future wave of Winnie the Pooh merchandise and further movies and TV shows. This movie is another package film comprised of four shorts loosely connected by short segments portrayed as a narrator reading chapters in a book. It does its job well in attempting to create a more cohesive narrative and adds to its character as a children’s storybook. The style perfectly evokes the drawings of a children’s storybook in their soft simplicity. The characters themselves are well known today and need no introduction. The stories themselves are simple a cute- nothing overly complex but timeless all the same. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a perfect introduction to the world of the hundred-acre woods and its colorful inhabitants and definitely worth a watch to see how the phenomenon all started by watching some of their earliest cinematic adventures.
Final Rating: 8.5/10
