I had been looking forward to watching this film in its entirety and it did not disappoint! It is one of the longer films I have watched so far, but it held my attention the whole time. This film may very well have saved Walt Disney Studios after the disaster of The Black Cauldron as well as the overall disappointing box office performances of most Disney films from the 70s and 80s. The dynamic between the live actors and the ‘toons’ (as they are referred to in the film) was great and very believable. I am blown away by the style and the setting. It is one of the more adult Disney films (I was surprised that this was a Disney film at all! It felt more Warner Brothers). The inclusion of cartoons from other studios, including Looney Toons and Betty Boop, along with a plethora of classic disney characters really fleshes out the world of the toons. The twist with the villain was fun and made his goal believable. I also appreciated that Jessica Rabbit genuinely loved Roger and was not a stereotypical villain or femme fatale though she does hold her own throughout the film. Overall, Who Framed Roger Rabbit now one of my favorite Disney films and I would gladly return to its stylish and funny world in the future.

Final Rating: 9/10
