This movie was Disney’s last 2D animated film until The Princess and the Frog in 2009. It is a story about a farm that is going to be shut down unless funds can be scrounged up. The animals, along with a newly introduced and former show cow, Maggie who comes from a farm which was auctioned off, decide to head into town to secure money to save the farm. There they hear of a wanted criminal with a hefty bounty. They decide to find the criminals themselves and collect the bounty. The plot is very derivative and most of the characters are fine (albeit a grating at times) but one dimensional. Additionally, the main villain looks like a knock version of John Ratcliffe from Pocahontas. This movie brings nothing new to the table and wastes its fun and interesting wild west setting. It is easily forgettable and is an uninspired low point for Disney Animation after their huge successes during their Renaissance.
Final Rating: 3.5/10
